Whether you’ve been saving seeds for decades or you’re just starting to think about your first garden, this is a place to learn, connect, and leave with something to plant.
What’s happening:
- A guided tour of the Inspiration Farm seed garden with Brian Kerkvliet, co-founder of the Salish Seed Guild
- Open sharing circle — bring what’s growing in your plot, or just come to listen
- Seed packets available to take home and grow this season
- Informal conversation, introductions, and good company

This gathering is the first in a three-event series the Salish Seed Guild is hosting throughout 2026 — building on the record turnout at our February Seed Swap and the clear message from our community: we want more chances to get together.
Inspiration Farm is one of Whatcom County’s longest-running centers for regenerative agriculture and seed saving. Visiting in late spring means seeing the seed garden in its early-season glory — a living catalog of the varieties we grow, save, and share together.
We especially welcome people who are new to Bellingham, new to gardening, or new to seed saving. Seeds are one of the best icebreakers we know.
